The Criterion Collection will release Gints Zilbalodis’ award-winning animated picture Flow on 4K Blu-ray. This comes after the film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and received international acclaim for its innovative storytelling and visuals.
An Open Source Animation Software?
Flow is a beautiful animated film that has a cat traveling in a world that is mostly covered by water. The interesting thing about the movie is that it is dialogue-free; it features a group of animals—a capybara, a lemur, a bird, and a dog. Together, they try to survive in this new world. Another thing is that it was made using Blender, an open-source animation software, and took over five years to complete.
Where Can You Watch It Now?
For Those cant wait for the blue-ray release date it is already available to stream on Max in the U.S. It can also be rented or purchased on digital platforms like Apple TV and Fandango at Home, with rental prices starting at $5.99.
There is no official release date, although the Criterion Collection said in February that the picture would be available later this year. The disk became available for preorder on Amazon today, including in 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD formats, but no release date has been set.
