The Fantastic Four: First Steps First Reviews Are Out

Marvel Studios is bringing back one of its most legendary superhero teams with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which arrives in theaters on July 25, 2025. Directed by Matt Shakman, who previously gave us WandaVision, this movie isn’t your typical superhero origin story. Instead of walking us through how the team got their powers, it throws us right into their world where they’re already known, already a team, and already dealing with the highs and lows of being superpowered celebrities. You can watch the trailer below.

The story takes place in a alternate version of the 1960s think vintage style mixed with futuristic tech and cosmic weirdness. It is different from the marvel movies that have been released before.

The cast goes by Pedro Pascal, playing Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic. He’s the brilliant scientist trying to save the world with being a good husband and soon-to-be dad. Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman strong, sharp, and emotionally grounded. She’s the glue of the group and is pregnant with their first child. Joseph Quinn lights plays Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, bringing energy in the group. And Ebon Moss-Bachrach steps in as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing tough on the outside, but with a big heart underneath.
